Jean Pierre Miahouakana joined expatpartners ag as a Senior Health Insurance Consultant on May 1, 2026. He holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on customer satisfaction and cross-cultural management, complemented by VBV and IAF diplomas covering all insurance branches and pensions.
Jean Pierre began his career as a Sales Representative before progressing into roles as Business Development Executive, Senior Consultant, and Relationship Manager across Congo, China, Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.
Over the past twelve years, with eight years at Helsana as a Senior Customer Advisor, he has developed deep expertise in Swiss insurance laws, including KVG/VVG, BVG, KTG, UVG, and UVGZ. He has advised individuals, SMEs, posted workers (inbound and outbound), cross-border commuters, international students and schools on Swiss insurance obligations and international coordination regulations.
His expertise includes EU/EFTA/UK social security coordination under Regulations (EC) 883/2004 and 987/2009, as well as coordination involving contracting and non-contracting states. He has gained substantial expertise in KVG coordination, right-of-option matters, posted-work and telework framework agreements, AVS/AHV implications, and the Swiss 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pillar systems.
More recently, as Project Manager, Senior International Insurance Consultant, and Relationship Manager in the brokerage sector, Jean Pierre expanded his expertise into international insurance and global employee benefits, including IPMI/PMI, business travel insurance, International Pension Plans (IPP), disability insurance, and income protection solutions for both individual and group plans.
Jean Pierre is fluent in French, English, German, and Chinese.
