Martin Bühler (lic. iur., Swiss Certified Financial Planning Expert) began his professional career after successfully completing his law degree at the University of Zurich. He started as a corporate advisor in the field of pension funds and personal insurance at Generali Switzerland. In 2000, he joined the International Division of Swiss Life, one of the leading employee benefits networks. As an employee benefits specialist, he advised multinational companies in the Benelux countries, France, and Switzerland. He later worked as Sales Manager for the renowned American expat health insurer Cigna International. In this role, he played a key part in establishing Cigna’s Swiss branch and was also responsible for market development and sales activities in France.
In 2008, Martin founded his own company, expatpartners ag, specializing in international insurance solutions and international employee benefits. From 2011 onward, he co-managed the company with Ralph Endres. During this time, expatpartners became one of the leading providers of international personal insurance. In 2025, Martin stepped down from co-management and has since continued to work in a reduced capacity. Ralph Endres has been the sole managing director since then.
